Comparative Study of Movement Development Programmes in Preschool Review: The Case of Slovakia, Slovenia-Turkey

Synopsis

The aim of this study is to examine the education system in Turkey, Slovakia and Slovenia and the preschool movement development programmes in general and comparatively. Systematic review of the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) Web of Knowledge database was conducted according to PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses) guidelines. ProQuest, EBSCO, Google Scholar, Dergipark, Web of Sciences and PubMed were used for the search. According to this systematics, the literature published between 2009 and 2022 was searched in relation to the keywords Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey, movement, sport and movement, sport and family, movement education in preschool, motor skills in preschool. As a result of the searched terms, 158 studies were found. There were 42 studies conducted in Turkey, 58 studies conducted in Slovakia and 58 studies conducted in Slovenia. A total of 30 articles, 10 from Slovakia, 10 from Turkey and 10 from Slovenia, dealing with family involvement or movement education in pre-school, were included in this study by analysing them in accordance with the criteria of the article. It is thought that the findings obtained in the study will provide resources for experts working in the field to develop new training programmes.
