Synopsis

Despite the rapid and positive developments in the world, the problem of care continues to increase with increasing chronic diseases and extended life expectancy. The care process is presented in a very complex way for both care needs and caregivers. It is known that many people in the world need palliative care, but there are sufficient palliative care units to provide this. The responsibility undertaken by caregivers adds an extra economic and psychological burden to them. Increasing burdens over time have negative effects on caregivers' health in terms of physical, mental and social aspects. Information regarding the care burden of the patient's relatives caring for these palliative care patients was evaluated.
