Synopsis

Web typography is considered a fundamental component of the internet and shapes the visual language of the digital world. Texts, headings and paragraphs on web pages are an essential part of communication with users. Web typography encompasses the rules and methods used to determine the appearance, readability, and comprehensibility of these texts. The primary purpose of web pages is to convey information and inform or engage users. Texts and other elements are used for this purpose. Web typography includes elements such as fonts, sizes, colors, spacing and layouts. Successful web typography aims to ensure that content is easily readable, accurately reflects brand identity and provides an aesthetically pleasing experience. Web typography must also consider important factors like accessibility and mobile compatibility. It is essential for web pages to be viewable and usable on various devices connected to the internet. Web typography is used to maximize the impact and effectiveness of texts and becomes a crucial element of design. This study examines the historical development, significance, applications, tools and common mistakes in web typography. It emphasizes that web designers and developers should pay careful attention to web typography as a vital element and offers recommendations for creating successful web typography.
