Synopsis

Turkey was the country that supported the Baku administration to the end, without expecting anything in return, in the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war initiated by Azerbaijan. Turkey, which sided with Azerbaijan in both military and political matters during the war, became an important actor in the Said War to be won. We would not go too far if we say that this war ended not with the victory of Azerbaijan, but with the victory of the Turkish-Azerbaijani brotherhood. The 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war did not remain confined to regional boundaries alone; it was a war that saw the blossoming of Turkish nationalism, showcasing the rise of ethnic nationalism. Hence, this regional conflict has closely concerned the Turkish world. With this war, the biggest regional problem in the South Caucasus was solved and this geography transformed from an environment of conflict to an environment of cooperation. The regional cooperation environment shaped under the leadership of Turkey and Azerbaijan will make significant contributions to both the development of this geography and the advancement of global trade in the coming years, turning the South Caucasus into a center of regional collaboration.
