Synopsis

This study, anticipated to contribute to game design processes, aims to reveal player preferences in terms of skills and story. It presents player perspectives on design aesthetics, game narrative, and character abilities. It was found that PvP (Player versus Player) and RPG (Role-Playing Games) are predominantly preferred game genres, and players' reasons for choosing games are aesthetics, competition, speed, and story. In terms of characters and abilities, it is determined that the game's narrative must establish a strong connection with the player. In light of this information, this study provides beneficial insights for enhancing game design processes.
