Synopsis

It is not always possible to carry out studies in dentistry due to technical inadequacies in the clinical environment, ethical reasons when they need to be applied on patients and the cost of materials. The finite element analysis (FEA) method, which has been used for many years, especially in engineering-related fields, and has been used in the field of dentistry for about 50 years, overcomes such problems and enables studies that are technically difficult to perform under normal conditions to be performed reproducibly in a virtual environment.
