Income is the sum of money, goods or services accumulated in an economy over a period of time. Considering the rapidly developing economies of countries, how to distribute this whole is an important problem. The concept of income distribution that emerges at this point constitutes the main subject of this study. This is because income distribution plays an important role in the balanced distribution of the assets that countries acquire during their economic growth. At this point, ensuring justice is effective in determining the developed level of the country.

In this study, which examines the indicators, determinants, types and approaches of economic schools regarding income distribution, the concept of income distribution is firstly explained. Then, by analyzing the literature on income distribution, it will be determined whether there are sufficient studies on income distribution. In the conclusion part of the study, policy recommendations will be presented to deepen the studies on income distribution and to solve the problem of income inequality in countries.
