Synopsis

In this study, the fundamental functions and roles of the organization of production processes, of the enterprise resource planning, of the purchasing management, and of the production capacity in the operations management are discussed in the digital age. In the current study, digital technologies that can take place in the production processes of businesses/organizations within the scope of continuous improvements are examined. In the third part of the study, by explaining the role and importance of enterprise resource planning in businesses/organizations, the instruments used in resource allocation optimization are defined. In the fourth part of the study, issues related to the purchasing management, the increasing importance of the purchasing management in recent years, and its are explained. In addition, the digital technologies that businesses/organizations can benefit from in the purchasing processes are expressed in the study. In the fifth part, the concept of the production capacity is defined, and it is aimed to passed the analyses of the production processes that aims to optimize production capacity efficiency. In the final part, the importance of the operations managements in both static and dynamic terms is emphasized, and the study is concluded by expressing the necessity of the operations managements in the digital age.
