Synopsis

In the changing and developing world, football probably takes a considerably more important place than all other sports. Individuals who want to obtain their share of the unifying and exciting cake of football try to change the game. The fact that the Arabian Peninsula offers high contracts to famous football players and attracts them to the league or big investments in the English Premier League change and develop the football game, and of course, technology contributing to the development of social life also takes a large part in football and puts the game in a new shape. Owing to technology, we see athletes who can run faster, jump higher, and be stronger on the field. Technological devices that have developed over the years have also become more ergonomically wearable on our bodies and have played an essential role in athletes’ success. Wearable technologies and their correct use are crucial to stand out in football because numerical values and quantitative data are absolute factors in providing feedback to football players and convincing them with values in football. Apart from the tactics and communication styles used by trainers, the data acquired from wearable technologies help them to determine the training. Considering today's conditions, we need to attach importance to the use of wearable technologies and use them in field applications in order to predict future situations and find a place for ourselves in today's conditions and take the right steps. Concerning these factors, the study's objective was determined as wearable technologies and performance tracking in football.
