Synopsis

The concept of sports, health and occupational therapy has become important in recent years. Developing technologies have caused people to work at desk jobs, and this has led to the problem of inactivity, one of the biggest problems in the world. Individuals who remained inactive were exposed to various ailments and realized that one of the best drugs was sports and turned to sports. Occupational therapists, as in other branches of science, aimed to get a healthy age by increasing participation in sports activities, because occupational therapy is meaningful and purposeful activities to increase the health level of individuals. Occupational therapy applications are carried out in a wide variety of areas such as gymnasiums, open spaces, homes and workplaces, in order to eliminate the health problems experienced by individuals who work intensively in desk jobs, especially with the developing technologies in recent years, due to their sedentary life. In today's conditions where human lifespan is prolonged, the main purpose of occupational therapy is to increase the independence of individuals with the aim of supporting their reintegration into daily life by ensuring that individuals adapt to daily living conditions. The concept of Occupational Therapy is an inseparable part of sports and health, as sports are important for having a healthy body.
