Synopsis

Physical activity, which is an important component of energy expenditure, has a great impact on energy balance and body composition. Physical inactivity is a public health problem in many parts of the world and continues to be a problem for individuals In this context, individuals need to improve their quality of life by getting into the habit of regular physical activity behavior. This research has been prepared in order to determine the physical activity and quality of life levels of university students, to make individuals conscious, to increase their physical activity, to transfer these activities to daily life and to make them a habit. This research was conducted with the screening model. 254 students from Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University participated in the research. In order to determine the number of samples in the study, “*power analysis was performed. In order to determine the physical activity levels of individuals, the physical activity level estimation method was used with the number of daily steps performed by Duncan (2006). The obtained data were evaluated in the SPSS 25 package program. In our research, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, percentage and frequency analyses of the data are given. The comparisons according to the sexes were made with the independent t test. Comparisons according to age groups were made by one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). In addition, crosstab analysis was used in the evaluation of some variables. The significance level was accepted as p<0.05. In our research on the physical activity level and quality of life of university students, it has been found that gender, age, body weight, height and BMI affect the level of physical activity.
