Phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research designs, was used. Content analysis was used to explain the collected information in detail and to make a judgment. Information was collected through a semi-structured form from 120 athletes interested in Taekwondo.

In order to learn the participants' gender, educational status and metaphorical descriptions, the statement "Taekwondo is like ... because ..." was presented. After the necessary explanations were made about what the metaphor meant, they were given an average of 15 minutes to write their thoughts. Analyzes were carried out with the help of the professional Qualitative Data Analysis Program, MAXQDA.22. Metaphor concepts were classified and categorized by two domain experts using the MAXQDA creative coding tab. As a result of the joint evaluation of the field experts, the categories and codings took their final form. After the coding process was completely completed, code sub-code sections model, hierarchical code-sub-code model, frequency (f) graph and word cloud were used from the models offered by the MAXQDA program. Finally, the research consisted of 13 categories and 100 codes. In conclusion; It is seen that taekwondo sports branch is blended with many elements with this metaphor study.
