Synopsis

Employability which is an important problem in economic growth and development is a fundamental macroeconomic problem that concerns all countries. Solution proposals for the unemployment problem and employment strategies in this direction are basically policies carried out together with economic growth policies. In addition, employment policies targeting certain groups and targeting particular groups are also implemented. In this context, policies for women's employment, which are frequently applied especially in developing countries, are policies that are significantly effective on women's labor force participation rates. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationships between economic growth and female labor force participation rates in the context of transition economies, most of which are in the developing country class. İn accordance with this purpose, the relations between economic growth and women's employment were investigated in 24 transition economy countries covering the period 1995-2019. The findings of the analysis determined significant relationships between economic growth and development and female labor force participation rates in most of the countries participating in the analysis, which is expressed as a transition economy.
