Synopsis

Pedagogy is defined as "the art of teaching" according to the dictionary of educational sciences. In terms of cognitive development, knowledge and training in pedagogy gives advantages to both teachers and learners in terms of making sense of the experiences gained as a result of the interaction of a developing individual with the environment and adapting them to his/her life. The fact that pedagogy is more oriented towards children than Educational Sciences constitutes the focus of the study. In this study, which utilizes descriptive analysis method, the terms pedagogy, history of pedagogy, sports pedagogy were discussed within the framework of SEM (Sports Education Model), TOYA (Tactical Game Model), BSSM (Individual Social Responsibility Model), which are teaching models specific to the field of Physical Education and sports, and a conceptual framework was tried to be drawn on the scientific foundations of sports pedagogy. As a result, in order for the above-mentioned three teaching models to be more efficient, some of the features that need to be considered are listed as Skill Acquisition-Technique, Perfect Application of Methods and Strategies, Correct Choice and Impartiality, Increasing Practice Motivation, Performance Development, and it is tried to contribute to the relevant literature by mentioning the existence of steps such as interest, identification and analysis that should be realized in addition to these features for effective sports pedagogy.
