Synopsis

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly affected the education system, causing difficulties for school counselors around the world. School counselors play an important role in promoting students' well-being and academic success, but the pandemic has brought with it unprecedented challenges in providing these services. The pandemic period has led school counselors to adapt to new methods of providing services, such as online counseling, while managing their own personal and professional challenges. In this systematic review, the experiences of school psychological counselors in Turkey during the COVID-19 epidemic, the difficulties they faced and the effects of the pandemic were examined. Additionally, as a result of these experiences, their recommendations to ensure that they can continue to provide effective services to students and families after the pandemic are also discussed.
