Synopsis

The purpose of this research is to examine the effectiveness of flipped learning in large classes and to determine the opinions of learners about flipped learning. The study was conducted in the fall semester of the 2022-2023 academic year with 105 students taking the Basic Information Technologies course in two different classes. In the study where mixed research method was used, academic achievement test and interview form were used as data collection tools. Normality test and independent groups t-test were used in the analysis of quantitative data. Content analysis was also used to analyze qualitative data. As a result of the research, it was concluded that flipped learning statistically increased the academic success of learners. It has been determined that students find flipped learning useful, especially in courses that require practice. Not having a computer and limited internet quota emerged as problems encountered in the process.
