Synopsis

The problem of unfair competition is one of the major long-standing problems in the accounting profession. A lot of work has been done to date in the area of combating the problem. The research seeks answers to the question of how effective these studies are in solving the problem, and what generalizations can be made in this regard by action, whether the content of the unfair competition file has changed over the years. The study, which uses the method of defining research, conducted an analysis of files of unfair competition in the accounting profession for the period 2017-2022. The research, although with some differences, is a continuation of the work Ekergil (2018) did and analyzed unfair competition files in the profession between 2008 and 2016. The study analysed the post-2016 period under eight headings, while differences from the pre-2016 period results were also expressed, as well as the 2008-2022 period as a whole. Thus, the change in the number of unfair competition files and the content of the files during the period 2008-2022, while generalizations of the unfair Competition files in the same period have been revealed.
