Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is a treatment that is increasingly used in the treatment of malignant or non-malignant diseases. The most common indication for HSC transplantation is lymphoproliferative disorders. Complications experienced by patients after transplantation vary depending on the type of transplantation and the regimen used. Especially acute kidney injury is common after HSC transplantation and increases the risk of morbidity and mortality. Apart from this, renal problems such as chronic kidney disease and thrombotic microangiopathy may be seen. This situation creates an intersection point between branches especially in the follow-up and treatment of patients with malignancy. This creates a need for collaboration between oncologists, hematologists and nephrologists in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease in cancer patients.
