Synopsis

The aim of this study is to comprehensively examine the role of tennis in the athlete's psychological resilience and mental well-being, drawing on scientific sources, due to the spirit of competition and perseverance inherent in the sport. Tennis is a long-term competition system in which each point is carefully planned, points are systematically played as part of the game, and ultimately, the winner of the sets wins the game regardless of the duration. This sport has a special place among all sports in terms of mental, physical, and psychological benefits. In this case, it is thought to have positive effects on athletes. The effects of tennis, particularly in terms of its extremely positive contributions to the development of individual self-confidence, increased social interaction, coping with stress, and developing sustainable resilience, are among the topics of research. From this perspective, the data and detailed analyses obtained from the literature reviews conducted aim to examine the effects of tennis on mental health in particular depth. The high impact of tennis on combating stress and pressure is a matter that needs to be examined. Regardless of the sport, there is a complex relationship between the athlete's psychological resilience and mental well-being. It is not possible to explain every competition and game solely through training programs.

Maintaining mental well-being and sustainability has emerged as one of the most current topics of interest in sports psychology in recent years. At this stage, it is certain that identifying the positive effects of tennis on the lives of both professional and amateur athletes and actively incorporating them into training programs will contribute positively to performance and increase success. We believe that the data obtained from this research can provide important insights for coaches, athletes, field researchers, and experts. Furthermore, tennis should be studied as a separate research topic due to its positive effects on individuals' quality of life and their social and cultural relationships.

In conclusion, tennis, with the benefits and contributions it offers to an individual's life in physical, physiological, psychological, and social terms, has an impact on all areas of athletes' lives. And the achievement of each task has an impact not only on the game but also on every area of life. As can be seen from scientific studies in the field, the subject of this research, psychological resilience and well-being in sports, is as important in the lives of every athlete as training science.
