Synopsis

This book, entitled A Multidisciplinary Approach to Endocrine Disorders, aims to present the integrated contributions of different medical disciplines to the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of endocrine diseases. Today, endocrine disorders represent a broad, complex, and multidimensional field that cannot be adequately addressed within the boundaries of a single specialty. Therefore, effective collaboration among endocrinology, radiology, neurosurgery, family medicine, emergency medicine, and other related disciplines is essential for optimal patient care.

The book covers a wide range of clinically relevant and up-to-date topics, including minimally invasive ablation therapies for thyroid nodules, male hypogonadism, central precocious puberty, neurosurgical approaches to endocrine diseases, the role of primary care in endocrine disorders, and the systemic aspects and multidisciplinary management of primary hyperparathyroidism. Each chapter has been written by experienced authors in their respective fields and structured with a multidisciplinary perspective supported by current literature.

The primary objective of this work is to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration in the management of endocrine disorders, provide clinicians with updated knowledge, and contribute to improved quality of patient care. In this respect, the book serves as a valuable reference for residents, general practitioners, specialists, and all healthcare professionals interested in multidisciplinary clinical management.
