Synopsis

Recent developments in the field of management and organization have made it increasingly important for organizations to understand the environments in which they operate and to develop management approaches capable of adapting to changing conditions. Technological advancements, digitalization, artificial intelligence applications, evolving work practices, and emerging leadership paradigms are influencing not only organizational operations but also decision-making processes, human resource practices, and institutional structures. By bringing together studies that address these developments from diverse perspectives, this book aims to provide a range of insights into contemporary management thought.

The chapters included in this volume examine current issues in management and organization through different theoretical lenses. Topics covered range from analyses of organizational identity and sense of belonging through university logos to employee behavior, workplace challenges, leadership approaches, and the impact of digital transformation and artificial intelligence on managerial processes. In addition, the book explores quality management and change processes in higher education institutions, the management and continuity of family businesses, and dynamic capabilities theory, which has become an influential perspective in the field of strategic management.

A common theme across the chapters is their focus on organizational adaptation to change from multiple dimensions. Within this context, issues such as organizational commitment, innovative work behavior, digital leadership, agile leadership, institutional transformation, quality culture, managerial decision-making processes, and competitive advantage are examined from a theoretical perspective. Furthermore, the effects of digital technologies and artificial intelligence applications on organizational structures and processes are discussed in light of contemporary scholarly literature.

Considering the increasing complexity of the challenges faced by modern organizations, these issues must be evaluated not only from a technical perspective but also in relation to human, cultural, leadership, and strategic dimensions. The chapters in this book contribute to such an understanding by establishing a conceptual coherence among diverse topics and offering readers a comprehensive perspective. Intended as a valuable reference source for academics, researchers, graduate students, and practitioners, this volume seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of contemporary debates in the field of management and organization. By bringing together studies informed by different disciplinary perspectives, the book provides a theoretical framework that facilitates a better understanding of organizational change and transformation processes while also identifying potential directions for future research.
