Applications and Impacts of Artificial Intelligence in Women's Health.
Synopsis
Artificial intelligence technologies are increasingly being utilized in the field of women’s health and provide significant contributions in areas such as pregnancy monitoring, early detection of gynecological cancers, infertility treatments, and mental health support. Nevertheless, the use of these technologies also raises important concerns regarding ethics, privacy, and data security. In particular, careful consideration is required within the framework of fundamental ethical principles, including patient rights, justice, non-maleficence, and individual autonomy. The protection of women’s health data collected through menstrual tracking applications, wearable technologies, and digital health platforms is of critical importance. Data breaches, unauthorized access, cyberattacks, and security vulnerabilities may pose serious risks to women’s privacy. In addition, issues such as informed consent, transparency, legal regulations, and secure system design constitute essential components of artificial intelligence applications in women’s health. In conclusion, artificial intelligence systems used in women’s health should be evaluated not only in terms of technical performance but also within the context of ethical, legal, and social responsibilities.
