Synopsis
In this section, the digitalization strategies and approaches to scientific education and research activities of selected botanical gardens, identified within the context of botanical tourism, are examined. The study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the digitalization initiatives and scientific education and research practices of specific botanical gardens in Türkiye that are both listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and registered with Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI). Based on data obtained from official websites, the study explores the evolving roles of botanical gardens at both the global and national levels, their processes of technological adaptation, and their capacities for knowledge production. The findings derived from the research are analyzed, and a series of recommendations are presented accordingly.
