Digitalization provides convenience and speed in individual life processes, as well as efficiency in the business processes of institutions with technological infrastructure and innovative steps. In this context, this book, which explains the impact of the digitization process in finance and aims to contribute to the literature on finance, is intended to contribute to readers and researchers.

The first part of this book, which consists of five chapters, presents digital finance and financial technologies under the title "An Assessment of the Development of Financial Technologies in the World and Turkey in the Context of Digital Finance."

The second part of the book, "FinTech in the World and Turkey," presents and interprets the status of FinTechs in the world and Turkey using graphs.

In the book's third part “The Relationship between Household Card Payment Index and Indirect Tax Revenue” the effects of the change in the value of the household card payment index on the change in indirect tax revenues are examined empirically with Fourier-Shin co-integration and Fourier-Toda-Yamamoto causality tests.

The fourth chapter of the book, " The Technology Transforming the Financial System: Blockchain," examines the basic components of blockchain technology, its current and potential applications in the financial sector, its impact on the system, and its advantages and disadvantages.

The fifth chapter of the book, " Bitcoin Price Prediction with Machine Learning and Deep Learning Methods: Explaining the Most Effective Model with SHAP Analysis" estimates Bitcoin's daily closing prices from 2014 to 2024 using SVR, LSTM, XGBoost, and ANN algorithms. It considers indicators such as gold, USDX, VIX, and Brent oil and makes comparisons using performance measures such as MAPE, MAE, and R².

All studies included in this book, where the authors of the chapters assume all kinds of scientific, legal, and ethical responsibilities related to their work, have gone through the editorial review process. This book contains empirical and theoretical studies and aims to contribute to the literature with all its chapters.
