Synopsis
In this chapter, the scope, roles, and significance of nursing practices in the fields of family, women’s, child, and adolescent health are discussed. The contribution of nursing services to improving the overall level of public health is emphasized, not only through therapeutic interventions but also through preventive, educational, and empowerment-oriented approaches. Topics such as family-centered care, sexual and reproductive health, pregnancy-birth-postpartum processes, gynecological issues, child and adolescent health, and nursing approaches to violence and gender inequality are explored. Current topics, including digital health applications, tele-nursing, remote breastfeeding counseling, and the use of electronic systems in school health nursing, are also addressed. The critical role of nurses in reducing health disparities is highlighted by providing holistic, culturally sensitive, evidence-based, and personalized care to individuals and families across all stages of life.
