Synopsis

This modest study, which includes information on the history, establishment, administrative, socio-cultural and economic structure of Oğulbeyli village, a migrant village in the İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar, is partly a village monograph, but is more of a village history.

In the study, archive documents were used predominantly regarding the history of the village before the Republic period. Information regarding the Republic period was presented by utilizing local records such as village decision books, village population-registry books, and student registry books. In addition, documents obtained from official institutions related to the village and photographs obtained from the personal archives of the village residents contributed greatly to the study.

It is thought that the study will contribute to the establishment of a connection between the first residents of today's Oğulbeyli village and the following generations, as well as to the introduction of a new one to the village history studies that have not been touched much today.
