Synopsis

When examining the energy source of oil, its value has increased historically after 1973. This study examines the 1973 oil crisis, its causes and consequences, in terms of international trade, aiming to highlight the importance of oil and its role as a powerful force capable of shaping international trade. The relationships, tensions, and wars that developed due to the desire for oil highlight the importance of this resource, and therefore, the study. The subject has been linked to international trade based on available data. This study demonstrates that the importance of oil in international trade has further increased.
