Synopsis
The survival and achievement of organizational goals largely depend on how managers impress over employees. In this context, alongside the leadership styles adopted by managers, the extent and manner in which they use organizational power resources also play a decisive role in shaping employees’ attitudes and behaviors. This study conceptually examines the relationship between organizational power and organizational silence, with a particular focus on the links between organizational power sources (legitimate power, reward power, coercive power, expert power, and charismatic power) and types of organizational silence (acquiescent silence, prosocial silence, and defensive silence). Within this framework, the study aims to reveal the potential effects of power utilization on employees’ silence behaviors and to provide a theoretical contribution to the understanding of organizational dynamics..
