Synopsis
This study seeks to examine the fundamental dynamics of the family within a pedagogical framework. As one of the oldest and most essential social institutions, the family has historically served as the cornerstone of civilization, shaping human life at both individual and societal levels. Anchored in the concept of family pedagogy, this research explores the educational, moral, affective, and social functions of the family, while also addressing its role in family–school collaboration and the holistic education of the individual. Employing a qualitative research design through document analysis, the study emphasizes that the family transcends its biological structure to function as a multidimensional educational environment that nurtures the cognitive, emotional, and spiritual development of individuals. The findings suggest that family pedagogy should rest upon core principles such as love, compassion, freedom, balance, and responsibility. Strengthening the pedagogical functionality of the family fosters the cultivation of individuals whose intellectual, moral, and emotional capacities are harmoniously integrated—thus contributing to the formation of healthy generations both in worldly and transcendental dimensions. In this regard, a family-centered pedagogical approach emerges as an indispensable foundation for sustaining enduring human values in education.
