Synopsis

This chapter has been prepared considering the lack of studies on the concept of "glass cliff", which is an invisible obstacle in front of women managers and women leaders in organizations. The theoretical information on the concept of the glass gap is given and the most cited studies on this concept in the field of management and business administration and the findings of these studies are included in the chapter. Then, the main research questions were determined and the articles written in English and published in the field of Business and Management in the Web of Science database, which is one of the databases frequently used for bibliometric research today, were included in the scope of the research. The 144 articles were subjected to common word analysis with the VosViewer program. Answers to the main research questions were sought by using the data in the Web of Science database, and with the common word analysis, it was determined with which keywords the concept of "glass cliff" has been used in recent years. Considering that the number of women managers and leaders has increased in recent years, it is thought that theoretical studies in this field will benefit companies in practice. As a result of conducting the research in databases other than the Web of Science database and covering other types of publications other than articles, more data can be obtained and the results can be generalized.
