Synopsis

Purpose of the research

This research aims to investigate the sustainable tourism practices of restaurants in Batman province to become green restaurants in the future.

Research method

Qualitative research method was used in the study. Data were collected by interview method. In this context, semi-structured interviews were conducted with the owners/managers of 12 restaurants in the province. The data obtained were analysed by means of MAXQDA Analysis Programme.

Findings

It has been determined that the interviewed businesses give importance or are interested in practices within the framework of sustainability in order to become a green restaurant.

Conclusion and Suggestions

 According to the results of the research; this research is important in terms of guiding the restaurants in the region to become green restaurants in the future.
