Synopsis

The concept of artificial intelligence, which profoundly affects today's business world, is widely accepted in organizations and is developing and changing many management practices. Human Resource Management (HRM) functions and practices are both influenced by this process and maintain a central position as a mediator in the change process experienced within organizations. This study, which conducts a bibliometric analysis on academic research located in the Scopus database, aims to identify which HRM functions and practices are more prominently featured in the literature regarding the HRM and AI interaction, while also pinpointing functions and practices that have not yet been researched or are rarely studied. As a result, this study found that the literature generally focuses on the technological, ethical, and social aspects of artificial intelligence, its integration into organizations, its impact on decision-making processes, and its effects on Human Resource functions and practices. While recruitment and selection and performance management emerged as the most prominent Human Resource Management functions, talent management, talent acquisition, leadership, teamwork, and employee engagement were the salient practices.
