Synopsis
Recreational activities undertaken by individuals during their free time encompass activities they engage in to promote their physical, mental, and social well-being when they are away from work and daily responsibilities. These activities help individuals cope with stress, increase life satisfaction, and strengthen their social relationships.
Pickleball is a low-intensity and easy-to-learn racket sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Its suitability for individuals of all ages and physical fitness levels makes it accessible and suitable for a wide audience. From a recreational perspective, Pickleball improves muscle strength, balance, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance, and regular play leads to moderate levels of physical activity. In this respect, the sport improves quality of life by supporting physical health. Psychologically, Pickleball contributes to stress reduction and increased life satisfaction. Socially, Pickleball encourages community participation, reduces feelings of loneliness, and strengthens intergenerational relationships. Playing in pairs and groups allows individuals to spend time together, make new friends, and increase their social connections. In conclusion, Pickleball can be described as a sport suitable for all age groups, serving the purposes of recreation in its physical, psychological, and social dimensions.
