Synopsis

Communication can be defined as the entirety of processes that enable the sharing of information, feelings, and thoughts between individuals. This process is effective at both individual and group levels through mutual interaction and feedback mechanisms. In the context of sports, communication is considered a fundamental tool for athletes to manage technical, tactical, and psychological processes. Correct and clear communication in training and competition environments directly affects athletes' motivation, performance, and psychological resilience. In team sports, communication is considered a dynamic encompassing the entire team.

Team coordination, role sharing, and strategic alignment are supported by effective communication processes. The quality of interaction between athletes and leaders plays a decisive role in the team's collective performance and cohesion. Key factors influencing communication in team sports include leadership styles, individual psychological characteristics, empathy and emotional intelligence levels, cultural and social differences, conflict management, feedback processes, and the use of digital communication tools. Conscious management of these factors improves the quality of communication and supports team cohesion. In conclusion, this study reveals that communication in team sports is a multi-dimensional process that directly affects individual and collective success and is a fundamental element supporting performance, motivation, and psychological resilience.
