Synopsis

In recent years, with the impact of technological developments, changes have been experienced in all areas of life. Along with this change, workspaces are taking their share and the ways of doing business, space preferences and working habits are being reshaped. As a result, classic workspaces are being replaced by flexible working models, shared spaces, shared offices and new generation working approaches such as coworking. With these concepts, classical working areas lose their validity, and instead, spaces focused on innovation are developing. Within the scope of this study, it is aimed to obtain information about the features of shared office as co-working spaces, its functioning, systems, and effects on the entrepreneurship ecosystem, and to provide knowledge transfer for both users and entrepreneurs. For this purpose, in order to obtain research data, case study and interview techniques, which are among the qualitative research techniques, were used, and data were tried to be obtained by applying an interview form to the users of the co-working space. The managers and users of the No 27 firm operating in Gaziantep and offering co-working space constitute the scope of the research. According to the results of the research, co-working spaces, which appear as a new workplace, still contain opportunities for entrepreneurs, but are also an under-recognized sector in terms of users. It is evaluated within the scope of the research that time is required for the country to fully transition from traditional workplaces to flexible workspaces.
