Synopsis
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have impacted society from academia in a very short time and are one of the most important and practical technical developments of the digital age. CBS is a software program that simply organizes, stores, and influences information about geographical space, and is effective in decision-making processes. However, based on CBS outputs, it is not limited to academic fields; it is an application system whose software and quality are developed by many companies in today's world, contributing to the efficiency and innovation processes of economic and commercial life. While it's often thot that CBS's most well-known application is the navigation function on our phones, it's actually used in almost every aspect of daily life. Indeed, CBS is involved in numerous projects developed across many scientific fields and public services, ranging from traffic and education to industry, botany, tourism, and meteorology. CBS is expected to have more effective functions in the future, along with digital and virtual innovations such as cloud technology, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence.
