Synopsis

Children and adolescents, the future adults of education, are the primary stakeholders impacted by educational processes. Teachers are among the most vital individuals in education because they are responsible for guiding and educating children in schools. Teachers need to learn how to be "Researcher Teachers" and use that identity for the rest of their careers. This is one method for them to stay up-to-date with their professional knowledge and skills as the world changes.

The teacher's identity as a "Researcher Teacher" enables a transition from merely utilizing and consuming existing information to a higher level of quality, where they can generate, evaluate, and integrate knowledge using innovative methodologies, fostering a process of sustainable professional development enhancement. The concept of the "Researcher Teacher," which is gaining popularity in modern educational methods, is regarded as one of the most essential ideas in the education system, as it enhances the system's effectiveness.

In a world where rivalry between countries is intensifying, a country's power largely rests on its wealth, which is primarily based on its skilled workers and human resources. Regardless of the field in which they work, having a researcher identity is crucial for them and their country. Consequently, it is deemed essential for prospective educators to embody the attributes of a "Researcher Teacher," possessing research knowledge and skills comparable to those of other professional specialists, and to apply these competencies in their careers. The book "The Development of the Researcher Teacher" and its sequel may contain information that can help current teachers become "Researcher Teachers" and train future teachers to possess the traits of a "Researcher Teacher."

I hope that "The Researching Teacher" will help teachers become research-oriented in the future, assist academics who train teachers in becoming research-oriented, support teachers already working in the field in their research orientation, and inform policymakers in the development and implementation of education policies. I hope that more teachers will become researchers, that there will be more research on teacher-researchers, and that many successful and effective teachers will be trained as "Teacher-Researchers."
