Sustainability, one of today's most important approaches, focuses on meeting current needs while considering future generations and on the effective and efficient use of resources. Over the last half-century, sustainability has merged with the development approach and has become integrated into the strategy, policy, and implementation dimensions of both international and national governance structures. Within the sustainability approach, urban agriculture strategies and practices, in particular, stand out due to the benefits they provide to cities and their residents. Urban agriculture is defined as agricultural activities within cities and supports environmental, economic, and social sustainability. This chapter, focuses on urban agriculture in line with sustainability and aims to demonstrate its benefits.
