Synopsis

This study aims to provide comprehensive conceptual information about the role of artificial intelligence in human resources management to the researchers and organizations. The rapid advancement in technology contributes to the addition and continuous improvement of new technological tools used in current management approaches. Although its history dates back to the 1950s, artificial intelligence, which has become widespread in recent times, has become an important technological tool that facilitates the current management approaches of organizations. Particularly prevalent in marketing and customer relations, artificial intelligence has also become a crucial support tool for human resources management, which seeks answers to numerous questions. The primary benefits of artificial intelligence for organizations in the human resources management process can be listed as: correct employee selection, speed, cost, comprehensive thinking ability, precision, efficiency, employee commitment, equity, and multi-criteria analysis capability. These contributing factors, which have great importance for human resources management to achieve organizational aims and performance targets, also offer organizations a competitive advantage and the opportunity to focus on core competencies. Due to its use in all sectors and academic fields, artificial intelligence has found a significant place in the literature and has been the subject of numerous academic and sectoral studies. This study provides a comprehensive assessment of global/national AI applications, the contribution of AI to human resources management functions, potential AI breaches, and current case analyses of AI use in human resources. In conclusion, it is emphasized that, alongside the advantages offered by artificial intelligence in human resources management, the risks and challenges it poses should also be carefully considered; accordingly, future research is recommended to focus particularly on emerging problems and ethical violations.
