Innovative Solutions and Contemporary Approaches in Management Information Systems - III
Synopsis
Dear Readers,
It is my pleasure to introduce the third volume of “Innovative Solutions and Contemporary Approaches in Management Information Systems – III”, a continuation of a scholarly series that aims to rethink the strategic role of information systems in the age of digital transformation. Building on the intellectual foundation of the previous volumes, this edition advances the conversation toward AI-enabled transformation, organizational innovation, data sovereignty, and the systemic evolution of human–technology interaction.
Today, enterprises across the world are entering an era in which information systems are no longer operational tools, but core determinants of competitive advantage and institutional resilience. The transition from generative AI to autonomous agentic systems, the rise of self-learning organizational platforms, and the embedding of digital decision-making into corporate strategy all signal a new paradigm in management sciences. Within this paradigm, the field of Management Information Systems stands at a vital intersection shaping decision structures, organizational behavior, socioeconomic development, and ethical governance simultaneously.
The chapters presented in this volume go beyond describing technological change they propose actionable frameworks, managerial insights, and evidence-based pathways to navigate digital transformation responsibly and strategically. Topics such as the evolution of large language models, the redefinition of enterprise information systems, and the strategic roadmap for AI-driven business ecosystems are supported through analytical discussions, empirical research, and forward-looking scenarios.
This third volume aspires to contribute not only to today’s academic discussions, but also to the future of knowledge societies, ethical data cultures, and human-centered digital alignment. I hope it inspires scholars, practitioners, and students to ask new questions, pursue innovative research, and shape the next phase of management information systems with responsibility and vision.
I extend my sincere gratitude to all contributing authors, and the publishing team. May this book serve as a meaningful reference for the MIS community and beyond.
