Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technocities in Turkey
Synopsis
Entrepreneurship and innovation have become indispensable phenomena in today's world. The concept of selling products produced in previous periods and operating in this way to gain a place in the market is no longer valid. It has become a necessity to produce innovative products with innovative methods and gain a place in global markets in this way. It is imperative that entrepreneurs who bring the process to the stage of producing and launching innovative products follow a correct roadmap and make the right decisions on time and in the right place in order for businesses to achieve sustainable growth. In a region where entrepreneurs and their innovative projects are concentrated in certain clusters, their chances of success will also increase. One of the most important innovative clusters is technoparks. Technoparks are one of the ecosystems where innovation and innovation culture are most intensely experienced and are cluster centers where entrepreneurs have significant opportunities to achieve success. The number of zones established in Turkey for the first time since 2001 with the Technology Development Zones Law No. 4691 has exceeded one hundred. The number of technoparks in Turkey has reached 106 by 2025 and the total export amount has reached 16 Billion Dollars. In our study, financing methods of entrepreneurship and innovation studies will be investigated. The contribution and performance of technoparks in Turkey to the economy will be examined and suggestions will be made for the development of technoparks, which are the center of the innovation ecosystem.
