Synopsis

In today's world, portfolios are among the documents that almost every individual needs to prepare for job applications and similar processes. For designers, portfolios are seen as a crucial presentation tool, showcasing their professional skills and work, and opening doors to new career opportunities. As the needs of institutions and organizations shift from traditional to digital, designers are also integrating into this change through the opportunities provided by technology. As a result of this change and transformation, designers have found the opportunity to express themselves in a much more creative way, moving from traditional portfolios to digital ones. In today's world, where digitalization is accelerating, the operating methods, communication strategies, and evaluation criteria of institutions and organizations have undergone significant transformation. Traditional, printed, and static presentation tools are being replaced by digital platforms focused on accessibility, interaction, and user experience. This research utilizes document analysis as a data collection tool and conducts a literature review on the definition, process, and transformation of portfolio design. It aims to highlight the importance of new generation interactive design approaches for effective and powerful portfolio presentations. In this context, the reasons why innovative presentation formats that adapt to the requirements of the age have become a strategic necessity for designers are discussed.
