Synopsis

Climate change has gone beyond being merely an environmental problem and has become a factor that directly affects women's health, particularly the menopause process, which is a biologically and hormonally sensitive stage. Current literature indicates that temperature fluctuations, global warming, and extreme weather events may influence the age at which menopause occurs and may increase the frequency and severity of vasomotor and sleep-related symptoms. At the same time, disasters related to climate change reduce women's psychological resilience and increase the burden of symptoms. This situation transforms the effects of climate change on menopausal symptoms into a life experience shaped not only by physiological processes but also by psychosocial and environmental dynamics.
