Synopsis

The digital age and the transformation we are experiencing have fundamentally changed workflows and added a new dimension to the concept of employee well-being. This section aims to examine the dynamics affecting employee well-being in the age of digital technologies, their positive and negative impacts, and to offer suggestions. While the integration and orientation of digital technologies into workflow processes provide positive outcomes such as flexible working and increased performance, they also bring negative outcomes, such as digital fatigue, anxiety, and alienation. Employee digitalization and digital technologies encompass not only a change in technical infrastructure but also the concept of "human-centered digitalization." In today's modern business world, the way to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage is not to exclude technology or to use classical technology, but to shape digital technologies in the age of digitalization in a human-centered way, with employee well-being at the center.
