Synopsis

Today's organizations are struggling to survive amid an information explosion accelerated by digital transformation, rapidly changing work models, and a global climate of uncertainty. In this dynamic world, success is no longer determined solely by having technological infrastructure or financial resources; it is determined by how individuals and teams make sense of uncertainty, how they remain flexible, how they transform differences into innovation, and how they continue to learn from mistakes.

This book focuses precisely on the challenges facing today's organizations. Bringing together the original contributions of its authors, the work examines the most critical issues in modern organizational behavior under the title LEADERSHIP IN THE AGE OF UNCERTAINTY: Human, Innovation and Strategic Flexibility.

Conceptual gridlock and strategic sensemaking crisis caused by information overload; the transformative power of cognitive diversity in innovation and leadership processes; individuals' self-management and self-leadership capacities in uncertain environments; the fragile relationship between workplace loneliness, deepened by the spread of remote and flexible work, and social capital; the contribution of a culture of learning from errors to organizational resilience; and the central role of psychological flexibility in individual-organizational adjustment have all become indispensable topics in contemporary management.

Indeed, this book aims to offer both theoretical depth and practical applicability by blending classic organizational behavior approaches (bounded rationality theory, self-determination theory, and information processing theory) with contemporary frameworks such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, learning agility, and neurodiversity. Thus, it aims to provide readers with concrete tools and a new perspective for leading in an age of uncertainty.

I would like to thank the esteemed section authors for enriching their theoretical presentations with innovative and experience-based contributions.

I hope this book will guide and provide practical perspectives to senior executives, academics, HR professionals, and organizational practitioners as they lead in an age of uncertainty. I wish you enjoyable and insightful reading.
