Synopsis
The main purpose of this study is to examine the function of technology tools that can play a supporting role in the application of artificial intelligence technology together with artificial intelligence technology within the scope of food waste management. More specifically, the role of artificial intelligence-based technologies in improving the effectiveness of food waste management in restaurants has been examined. In this context, the function of artificial intelligence technology together with other technologies that have the task of providing a function-enhancing role by playing a supporting role to the technology in question (sensor, internet of things, big data, new generation cameras etc.) have been explained within the scope of food waste management. In the next stage, it has been explained how the relevant technologies will be organized within the scope of food waste management in restaurants and integrated systems suitable for this have been explained. As a result of the study, suggestions have been developed for the sector and literature.
