Synopsis

Tourism is one of the most dynamic disciplines, continuously shaped by economic, social, cultural, and technological transformations. The changing profile of travelers, the rapid advancement of digital technologies, the growing emphasis on sustainability, and the search for unique experiences have significantly expanded the scope of tourism research. Prepared with this perspective, Current Tourism Studies III brings together original, contemporary, and interdisciplinary studies that contribute to the advancement of tourism scholarship.

The chapters in this volume examine tourism from diverse perspectives, extending beyond traditional boundaries to address recreation, digital transformation, and emerging tourism trends. The chapter "Night Tourism: Conceptual Framework and Theoretical Approaches" discusses the theoretical foundations of night tourism and its potential contribution to destination competitiveness. "Determination of the Recreational Potential of Erciş Balık Bendi Recreation Area According to the Gülez Method" presents a scientific assessment of the recreational value of a natural destination using an established evaluation framework. "The Cross-Border Dimension of Tourism: Space Tourism" explores one of the most innovative and future-oriented dimensions of tourism, while "Digital Destination Marketing: An Analysis of the GoAydın Instagram Account" highlights the growing importance of social media and digital communication in destination branding and marketing.

By bringing together contributions from scholars with diverse areas of expertise, this volume aims to serve as a valuable resource for academics, graduate students, tourism practitioners, and policymakers. We sincerely thank all contributing authors for their scholarly efforts and dedication. It is our hope that this book will inspire future research, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and contribute meaningfully to the growing body of tourism literature in both national and international contexts.
