Synopsis

In team sports, achievement motivation is a crucial psychological concept that refers to the effort, determination, and desire for performance shown by athletes in achieving their set goals. Both individual characteristics and environmental factors influence the development of achievement motivation. Among these environmental factors, coach support stands out as a key element affecting athletes' motivation levels. Coaches are not only individuals who impart technical and tactical knowledge, but also important guides who direct, support, and help athletes improve their performance throughout their development process. Coach support in team sports encompasses various dimensions, including communication, feedback, encouragement, building trust, and understanding athletes' needs.
