Synopsis

Sports management is a field that requires effective leadership and decision-making processes with its constantly changing and complex structure. Leadership is the process of directing and motivating the behaviors of individuals that enable sports organizations to achieve their goals. Sports managers act with leadership skills that require not only technical knowledge but also strong communication, motivation and commitment to ethical values. Ethical leadership supports the sustainable success of the organization by creating an environment of trust.

The decision-making process is the act of choosing the most appropriate option among the options faced by sports managers and directly affects the performance of the organization. The high level of uncertainties and risks in the sports sector increases the importance of decision-making processes. Making the right decisions is possible not only by relying on individual leadership characteristics but also by taking the opinions of team members into consideration.

As a result, the leadership and decision-making skills of sports managers play a decisive role in both the sporting and managerial success of the organization. Leadership and healthy decision-making mechanisms shaped by ethical principles support the professionalization of sports and strengthen the positive perception of sports in society. Therefore, effective management of leadership and decision-making processes in sports management is the cornerstone of both individual and institutional success.
