Synopsis

When it comes to the most important macroeconomic performance indicator for countries, the concept that everyone agrees on is economic growth. A sustainable and stable economic growth target is seen as the primary macroeconomic target of all economies. In this context, the concept of economic growth is the subject that economics science is most concerned with and conducts research and studies on. There are many studies in the economic literature from past to present regarding economic growth and its conceptual dimension. The phenomenon of economic growth has been interpreted differently in each period within the context of changing world conditions and opportunities, and new approaches have been put forward. The main problem focused on by the economic growth theories created within this scope has been the reasons for the existing income differences between countries and the sources of economic growth in the long term. In the context of these theories, it has been stated that production factors such as labor, natural resources, physical capital and technology are the basic elements that determine growth. In a sense, economic growth has been addressed only in the context of economic elements. Today, in addition to this perspective, economic growth theory has begun to be evaluated through different indicators such as sociological, demographic, and political factors. In a sense, attempting to analyze the economic growth process by including broader and different disciplines has become a general characteristic of today's economic terminology.

In this study, first of all, different and new perspectives on the issue of "economic growth", which is the most fundamental macroeconomic problem for countries, were presented, and sections on economic growth and environment, economic growth - health, economic growth - institutional structure were included. This work, which deals with the concept of economic growth from an interdisciplinary perspective, was created by compiling the works of young scientists, academics and researchers from different disciplines and different fields of study. At this point, with the hope that it will be a work that contributes to its readers and enriches the world of ideas, I would like to express my endless thanks to the Authors who contributed to the preparation of this book, all the friends who carried out the printing process, and Özgür Publications.
